Participant Care Coordinator (PCC)
As Participant Care Coordinator (PCC) you will collaborate with our administrative and clinical team to coordinate the experience of participants through our programming. You will be responsible for adding folks to the waiting list, communicating with and assessing participants on the waiting list and pairing participants with a therapist. You will also provide an intake and exit session with each counselling participant, ensuring that their needs are well communicated to their assigned therapist and that they feel comfortable, safe(r), and cared for in the intake and exit process.
The PCC will also collaborate with our administrative and leadership teams to establish and implement a Waiting List Wellness Program for folks waiting for counselling and peer support services.
This person will create a space for participants that is warm and anchored and will be trauma-informed, queer-informed, culturally conscious, neurodivergent affirming, and extremely knowledgeable about community resources and referral options.
This person needs to embody:
Strong communication skills
Ability to be flexible and adaptive to change
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to see participants as whole humans, and use non-pathologizing language
Strong relational connection skills
Strong administrative efficiency (preferably established skills with G Suite and Jane)
A typical day in this role may include collaborating with administration or leadership on new policies, strategies or programs, meeting with participants to complete intake or exit sessions, opening and closing the waiting list and assisting folks with joining the waiting list, or connecting participants with various community resources.
Qualifications:
A Masters of Social Work, Counselling Psychology or other clinical graduate degree in psychology is strongly preferred. Bachelor of Social Work may be considered with specific experience working in community settings/mental health. Lived experience is always considered as an asset at JPMF
A Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position ranges from $35-44/hour depending on education and experience. The successful applicant will have the option to obtain health and dental and will receive four weeks of paid vacation + sick days + bereavement leave + paid holidays (including 1-2 weeks for Christmas). Working hours include 32-40 hours per week (4-5 days) in-person.
The Participant Care Coordinator will report to our leadership team and Board of Directors.
